Erica

Beautiful, warm fall colors were the focus of Erica's September wedding. We used an eclectic mix of mango calla lilies, gold mokara orchids, rusty red freesia, orange dahlias, Royal Sunset lilies with touches of hypericum berries, rose hips and loops of curly willow to add some organic texture to the bouquets. For the reception, all of the guests were seated at long tables with unique and simple centerpieces of sunset colored flowers with touches of curly willow to bring in the natural element. So pretty!!

Thanks to Matt Nichols for the gorgeous photos!

Amy and Brant

I just wanted to share some great photos of a timeless and very classic fall wedding we did a couple of years ago. We had so much fun working the bride, Amy. She was full of ideas and we collaborated to come up with the perfect look to compliment her apple green and chocolate themed wedding. The bride carried a fabulously simple bouquet of white gardenias accented with glossy green camellia foliage. Fragrant, classic and wonderful--I just loved that bouquet! The reception at the Hobbs building was the perfect mix of romantic and urban. Tall arrangements of curly willow branches and hanging votive candles accented with apple green hydrangeas, cymbidium orchids, and glossy green granny smith apples were both dramatic and woodsy. We got really creative and filled glass vases with dried green split peas to add lots of texture and pull the apple green color into some of the low centerpieces--an inexpensive and easy trick!!

Kansas City Weddings photo shoot

Wonderful photos from KC Weddings 2010 issue! We were responsible for creating two looks in purple. The first is a romantic, hand-tied spring version with grape muscari, pirouette blue clematis, spring green viburnum and deep purple anemones. The stems of the bouquet are banded with an icy lavender ribbon.
This bouquet is our diva!! Sexy, strong and saturated purples...incorporating eggplant lisianthus, noorah blue mokara orchids and touches of plum colored smokebush foliage. The stems are banded with deep eggplant ribbon, but would also be really great with a contrasting apple green or platinum to soften it and take the diva down a notch!
